Charlottesville, VA – Hantzmon Wiebel, a Charlottesville based regional CPA and advisory services firm, will move into new offices this fall but will remain in downtown Charlottesville.
The firm will move from the current 818 E. Jefferson St. location to 701 E. Water St., which sits only a block away.
The firm leadership desired a more efficient use of space to suit the modern workflow. The new location provides a smaller footprint, an open floor plan to further foster collaboration, and flex space to provide capacity for team members to work from home or at the office. This aligns with other initiatives the firm has implemented as participants in the Green Business Alliance.
The firm is a major employer and has more than 90 years of history in downtown Charlottesville, serving local businesses, individuals, and nonprofits, as well as clients with regional and national footprints. The firm purposefully decided to remain physically present for their local clients as their practice continues to expand to national and international clients through ever-expanding remote capabilities.
Jennifer S. Lehman, CEO of Hantzmon Wiebel, says, “Though we considered many excellent options for relocation within the Charlottesville and Albemarle market, we feel fortunate to have found a great fit that allows us to remain downtown. We value the opportunity to continue to participate in this vibrant and ever-growing business community.”
The existing Hantzmon Wiebel office and related property, owned by East Jefferson Street LC, goes on the commercial real estate market through Carolyn Shears and Cass Kawecki of Colliers International this week.
Consultant and retired partner Lawrence J. Martin, who first began his career with the firm in 1973, says the move is “an exciting part of the firm’s continued growth and evolution while continuing to be an ongoing success story in downtown Charlottesville.”
